“You have to find someone that you can be happily unhappy with” And that’s what Karan and Shruti found in each other. With a string of challenges along the way, it was 4 long years before they could have their dream destination wedding in Jaipur. When talking to them, Shruti told us that at Karan’s FIRST “HEY!” she knew she was going to marry him. The rest, as they say, is history.
A true blue “Bollywood Couple”, their entire wedding was themed around movies and movie nostalgia. The wedding was at Jaimahal Palace, Jaipur with the Sangeet at Rambagh Palace, Jaipur – this was as much of a “big-fat-Indian-Destination Wedding” as they come! Jai Mahal was full of childhood memories for Shruti, and they decided to tie the knot there. What better than to feel at home on your wedding. Here’s a quick story on how their wedding unfolded.
Before things got started, we spent an evening walking around the streets of Jaipur with the couple.
The ease at which they could discuss excel sheets and switch to A Shahrukh Khan film discussion is pretty much how we figured just how Bollywood they were!
A Mehendi function was a great way to kick things off and get the wedding started. Shruti and Karan made a picturesque entry vibrant with colours while looking like a movie poster couple themselves. Whilst a few people get their Mehendi done, the event was full of dancing, songs and performances.
And it’s time for the couple to walk down the red carpet to their very filmy Bollywood sangeet.
Shruti and Karan danced their hearts out. A shiny glamorous event full of dancing and laughter, the evening was full of Bollywood references, props, memorabilia and of course, dance performances.
As wedding photographers, we love the Haldi. Following a crazy fun night that lasted till the wee hours of the next day, everyone woke up bright and early (somewhat!) for an event that promised to be bright, colourful and vibrant.
With everything leading up to this moment, Karan’s baarat was as loud, colourful and fun as they come.
