A Beautiful Destination Wedding at Westin Sohna | Anjali + Dixit

Meet Anjali and Dixit. You know you meet people, and they leave a lasting impression on you? When these two first walked into our studio, we really really knew this was one story that we’d have fun making! Anjali & Dikshit fell in love while pursuing their MBA. Whilst they didn’t know each other right from the start, but a random meeting on top of a hill during a college trip turned out to be very very fortuitous for the two of them, and from which started a story of love, passion, a mutual respect and a whole lot of ambition! We had a blast shooting their beautiful destination wedding at The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa, Gurgaon. Here’s a short photo story from their wedding. 

Couple Portraits

“If he cannot be my best friend, then love doesn’t count for anything” said Anjali. Wow (we thought) and snuck them away from the madness of the wedding for a few (somewhat quiet) portraits two-gether.

Give us animals and we’ll make cute pictures! (btw, the horse’s name was Laila and she was a real darling)

Mehendi

We kickstart the festivities with a vibrant colourful morning. A morning full of performances, fun and laughter and a display with childhood photos of Anjali & Dikshit, we were taken back to our childhood full of chocolates and memorabilia from the late 90s. Nostalgia was in the air! It was unique and everybody loved it.

Sangeet

“Kuch Kuch hota hai Anjali, tum nahi samjhogi” was how this event started. Now we all expect all sorts of dances at a Sangeet, but this one had it all – Anjali and Dixit both going on one knee, some stellar performances and a real rager of an afterparty!

Haldi

Say hello to our yellow day! After dancing until the wee hours, our couple was up and set for Haldi. Excited and eager, Anjali & Dikshit had a crazy fun Haldi ceremony full of flower showers, some drama and a lot of 

Band, Baja Baraat & Shaadi

At long last, it was time to get married. The plan was to first do a fun Jaimala at the main centre fountain area of the Westin Resort and Spa, Gurgaon – enter, finish off with the meet and greet on stage, shake a leg to performances by the ever popular Meet Brothers, and once everything had wound down, have quiet and intimate Pheras surrounded by close family and friends.

Dixit’s baarat was equal parts pyro-guns, horsepower and a lot of dancing!

Check out Dixit’s surprise performance for Anjali just before the Jaimala (we’re still fairly sure it really was a surprise – but then again, brides really do seem to know everything!)
