Wedding photography FAQs
What's the difference between candid and directed wedding photography?
Candid photography captures moments as they happen, without interference. Directed photography gently guides you into a situation, then lets the real moment unfold within it. We work mostly in that second space: we don't pose you into stiff arrangements, but we do position ourselves and you so the honest moments have room to happen. The result feels candid, but it's the product of seventeen years of knowing exactly where to be.
Will you pose us, or is it all candid?
Neither extreme. We don't leave you to fend for yourselves, and we don't over-pose you into something that isn't you. We direct: a little guidance on where to stand or what to do, then we step back and photograph what actually happens. Most couples tell us it felt natural while we were shooting, and looked effortless afterwards.
We're not comfortable in front of the camera. Can you still photograph us well?
This is the most common thing couples tell us, and it's exactly what we're built for. Because we direct rather than pose, you're never left searching for what to do, and because we work quietly and observationally, you stop noticing the camera within minutes. Some of our favourite portraits are of people who walked in convinced they were "not photogenic."
Do you photograph both the big celebrations and the quieter moments?
Yes, and the balance between the two is the whole point. We shoot the loud, chaotic, confetti-filled celebrations and the small, easily-missed moments: a parent watching from the side, a quiet glance before the baraat. A complete wedding story needs both, and we cover the full arc of every event.
How many photographers will be at our wedding?
Team size depends on the scale and number of events, but every wedding is covered by our core in-house team of photographers and cinematographers rather than outsourced freelancers. That's how we keep the look and storytelling consistent across the whole celebration. We'll recommend the right crew size for your specific wedding when we build your proposal.
Do you travel for destination weddings in India and abroad?
Constantly. We've photographed weddings across India, including Rajasthan, Udaipur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Goa, the Himalayas and beyond, as well as international destinations in Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States. We handle the logistics of travelling with you wherever your wedding takes place.
How do we check if you're available for our date?
We take on roughly fifty weddings a year by choice, so dates go early, especially in peak and destination season. The best first step is to reach out through our contact page with your dates and venue, and we'll let you know availability and start the conversation about your wedding.
