Ambika and Kartik’s wedding was the kind of Delhi NCR celebration we love documenting. Elegant, emotional, and beautifully layered across venues like The Leela Ambience and The Ritz by FNP, it had all the ingredients of a modern luxury Indian wedding. For us at Twogether Studios, though, this story carried an added sense of warmth. By the time Ambika got married, we already felt a connection with her family. From a family blessed with three sisters, we had missed Vritti’s covid wedding, photographed Aditi’s wedding less than a year earlier, and now returned once again to celebrate with the sisters and their families. That made this wedding feel not just visually stunning, but personally meaningful too.

For Ambika and Kartik’s pre wedding shoot, we wanted to move away from the expected and create something that felt a little more personal, intimate and off-beat. So instead of chasing a typical outdoor location, we built a small custom set in our studio in Cyber City and used it as a canvas for something softer, moodier and more design-led. The result was a pre wedding shoot that felt modern and unforced, with a playful mix of texture, light, movement and negative space. It had the ease of a couple completely being themselves, but with the visual intent of an editorial pre wedding shoot in Delhi NCR, which is exactly the balance we love.

Ambika and Kartik’s wedding celebrations unfolded with all the richness you would expect from a luxury Delhi NCR wedding, but what stayed with us most was how personal it all felt. The scale was beautiful, the details were thoughtfully considered, and every space, from the floral installations to the quieter in-between corners, felt like it had been designed with intention. Set against the elegant backdrop of The Leela Ambience and later The Ritz by FNP, this was a wedding that balanced grandeur with warmth, which is always our favourite kind to photograph.

Ambika made for a striking bride to photograph. Dressed in a beautiful red Sabyasachi lehenga, with jewellery, texture and colour coming together so effortlessly, her bridal look had that rare balance of classic and contemporary. For her portraits, we leaned into the drama a little, using rich reds, softer shadows and composed frames to create images that felt polished and editorial, while still keeping the mood intimate and natural. It was the kind of bridal portrait session that felt true to her, elegant, poised and quietly powerful.

Kartik’s baraat brought exactly the kind of energy that shifts a wedding into celebration mode. It was joyful, loud, emotional and full of the kind of family participation that makes Indian weddings so memorable to photograph, from the dancing and the welcome to the little in-between moments with parents and siblings. And then, almost seamlessly, the mood moved into the wedding itself, where all that excitement gave way to something more intimate and moving. Set against a floral stage that felt both grand and elegant, Ambika and Kartik’s varmala and pheras had all the beauty of a Delhi wedding, but what stood out most was the warmth between them and the very real sense that this was not just a spectacular wedding, but a deeply felt one.

And to close this story, it feels only right to come back to the cocktail evening at The Riviera House, which set the tone so beautifully right at the start of the celebrations. This night had a very different energy from the wedding day. It was moodier, sharper and more fashion-forward, with dramatic lighting, a high-impact stage, and a party atmosphere that built steadily into a full-blown celebration. Ambika and Kartik looked incredible, the details felt polished and modern, and the dance floor had the kind of energy that makes a cocktail night unforgettable to photograph. As an opening chapter to this Delhi wedding, it captured exactly what the rest of the celebration would go on to be: stylish, emotionally rich, and filled with people who were completely ready to celebrate them.

Ambika and Kartik’s wedding was a beautiful coming together of style, warmth and family history, and we feel lucky to have documented it. From the intimate pre wedding shoot in our Cyber City studio, to the wedding celebrations across The Leela Ambience, The Ritz by FNP, and the cocktail evening at The Riviera House, every part of this Delhi NCR wedding had its own personality. Ambika looked stunning in Sabyasachi, with makeup by Emelda, while the celebrations were seamlessly brought together by K Events by Naveen Chaushali and Wedding Decor India. And for us at Twogether Studios, what made it all the more meaningful was the chance to return to a family we were genuinely so happy to meet again.
